The interior of Parrot's Cay may be small and a bit dark, but it brims with character, contributing to a cozy yet lively dining experience. Patrons appreciate the attentive service and don’t seem to mind dining on paper plates, as the food consistently exceeds expectations, as noted by Mad6Sparky, who remarked that looks can be deceiving, but the flavors are undeniably fantastic.

“ I was visiting my son and he said they had great wings. He was not wrong. There is a type of wing for every taste to include those with cast iron stomachs. We started with crawdads which were ok but not great, not surprising for a place 1400 miles from New Orleans. The wings were big meaty and tasty. You can get traditional buffalo or their own shark sauce rated on hotness from from 1 to 40. We had a range of 3 to 15. 15 was pretty hot so I'd hate to sample a 40. The onion rings were delicious as were the fried cheese. Best of all was the peanut butter wings. I would never think to put a peanut butter sauce on wings. However, it really works. They were delicious. They also help cool your mouth down after eating a more spicy wings. They have a large collection of beer on tap. The prices are very reasonable. On a final note, I did not realize that gambling was legal here. There was a blackjack table as well as some slot machines and a station to pull papers out of a bin and potentially win a prize. To top it all off one of our party won 50. ”
“ The best wings. Not exaggerating. Small space, so can be long wait. Wings can sometimes be on the colder side. Still five stars... that's how good they are. Edit: back again. Still the best. Serums in Anoka comes close, but doesn't beat the Cay wings. ”
“ This place is literally the embodiment of "looks can be deceiving" honestly the photos on Google made me nervous, but give it a chance, food is served on paper plates but it's on par with the blue moose, servers are kind and helpful. I ordered Phat guy burger with hushpuppies, both were so good I Ordered a recommended pasta to go. I don't wish to be harsh it looks like it came from a school cafeteria, but seriously just dig in, it was delicious phenomenal pasta, and even ordering 2 dinners with an appetizer as a side came to 35 way more affordable than moose (the burger I chose was also the most expensive one on the menu) ”
“ I was curious about the food here, and I was surprised. It's small, dark and loud and I was told it wasn't that busy. I'm not into crowds, so eating in wasn't in the cards. The Cajun pasta with the crawdads wad the way to go. Little flavor bombs and cooked perfectly. The Mardi Gras pasta was equally tasty. Very good sausage and ham that you didn't have to search for in the pasta. Both of these I got at level 12 heat which was just right. You know it's right when your nose runs. I like that you have a choice of how hot you want the spice level. I can only imagine what the 40 level is like. The stir fry would have been better with pasta, the rice was a let down. The shark sauce was spot on with the wings. A little sweet with the heat. I'd like the sauce on the side and a crispy wing, but that's my taste. Overall I was happy with my first visit and I'll be back to try something new. Don't be intimated by their security at the main door, they take underage drinking seriously and it's appreciated. ”
“ This place is an institution. The wings are absolutely out of this world good. Always a good size, done correctly, and covered with your choice of incredible sauce. You can keep it mild and order "7s" or you can crank up the heat and order "15s" or hotter. A good seat here is always a hot commodity so come early or call ahead and take some to go. A must try while in Grand Forks. ”
“ This place is fantastic! (I've never actually sat down here to eat/drink, I always get it to go so I can't comment on in person experience) I've had just about everything on the menu and it's all delicious, it's like the Ralph, not a bad seat in the house/not a bad thing on the menu. The shark wings are big and juicy and absolutely tasty and as it should be after eating wings, my hands look like I just delivered a baby. The wings are my favorite, forget the other wing places in town, this is the place for wings. I also love the Cajun pasta dishes, the seasoning is on point and the sauces are excellent, very tasty. My other favorite item is the hush puppies, they're very tasty and cooked to perfection and I can eat them like popcorn they're just go good. I would highly recommend everyone and anyone try this place. No they don't deliver or use any sort of delivery app, you have to go in person to eat or pickup, but it's totally worth it! Definitely a hidden gem in Grand Forks. ”
“ Walked in and it was dimly lit with writing all over the ceiling tiles and that faint smell of spilled beer wafting through the air. I knew immediately it was likely gonna be some of the best food I would ever eat. When they brought out my wings on a picnic paper plate that sealed the deal. Best wings hands down. Shark Sauce 10s and fries absolutely hit the spot! ”
“ You better stop here and get these wings best wings in the whole Midwest. Definitely get the shark bite wings they are awesome ”
